PROFITABILITY STUDIES OF RENEWABLE ENERGY FACILITIES
Through this calculation module, the sizing of components of renewable energy power plants, its annual energy production and its key profitability indicators can be calculated. The aim is to give the information to the owner in order to make the proper decision on whether or not to invest in this type of facilities.
Either with renewable (STWH, etc.) or high efficiency (CHP, etc.) energy generation the cost of the resources needed is lower than the one used in conventional power plants (coil, oil, natural gas, etc.) which use non renewable resources, more expensive and subject to distortions from the market economy. The difference between production costs makes the renewable energy technologies more competitive in the long term.
Although in the long term the energy produced in cheaper than the ones used in conventional power plants, previously to make the decision on whether or not to make the investment, it is necessary to calculate the key profitability indicators due to its great implementation cost.
